As part of this streamlining exercise and consistent with Migration Act (1978) and Regulations (1979), I am pleased to announce that as the authorised officer of the Authority, the Maintenance Guarantee Bond that forms part of the mandatory requirement for the consideration of non-citizen entry permit application, which is issued by recognised Insurance Company on behalf of the State upon payment of a fee not exceeding K1,000, will no longer be required forthwith.
This requirement will now be borne by the legal sponsor/employer of the non-citizen, including the dependants that form part of the household
The cessation of the Maintenance Guarantee Bond will be effective as of 01 June 2019 .
