To be eligible for a business or a short-term employment visa, you must show that you are a genuine business person or are engaging in approved employment, with the intention of leaving Papua New Guinea at the end of your stay.
Depending on your circumstances, you may be asked to provide ICA with evidence to support your application.
Visas are issued subject to the individual circumstances of the traveller.
In most circumstances, you can expect to be issued a Business visa, which is valid for a single entry stay of thirty (30) days from the date of arrival.

Travellers who hold a passport from a country which is eligible for the issuance of a visa on arrival, may lodge an application via the electronic visa portal.

Travellers who are not eligible for a Papua New Guinea visa on arrival or do not wish to apply using the electronic visa portal, should submit their application using the paper form available for download at the bottom of this page.

The eligibility requirements for a visa extension will vary depending on your personal circumstances, which include the purpose and the period of time you have already spent in Papua New Guinea, and length of the extension sought.

If your circumstances change at any time during the visa application process or after your visa is issued, you must inform ICA. A change in circumstances may affect your ongoing eligibility for the visa issued.
