This Joint Public Notice is makes reference to our earlier Notice in the Post Courier and the National on  Friday 19th November 2021 informing all Stakeholders, Employment Agents, Clients and the General Public that the Foreign Employment Division Office is now closed for business to the public effective as of Friday 19th November 2021.  

All Work Permit Applications recieved for renewal prior to the closure of business on 19th November 2021 will be processed and released at the Immigration & Citizenship Authority counter at the Central Government Office (CGO) when business resumes on 12th January 2022.

All urgent applications for non-citizens travelling overseas before 12th January 2022 will be treated on case by case basis and work permit and visa will be issued to facilitate travel without hinderance.

We will give special consideration on a case bay case basis on fines and penalties for applications recieved between 01st October 2021 to 23rd December 2021 that are currently in our possesion for renewal of their existing work permits.

We apologize for any inconvenience that may have caused resulting from this short notice.
